Urgent Stroke Care Services Under Review

Urgent Stroke Care services within Kent and Medway have been under review since late 2014 and the latest step in the process is looking at sites of where those services should be delivered from. The proposals recommend creating three hyper acute stroke units in Kent and Medway from a shortlist of sites, and although Darent Valley Hospital has been shortlisted, if the hospital is not chosen as one of the sites it does mean that Bexley residents would have to travel to Maidstone for their nearest urgent stroke care centre.
