Prevention & early intervention project funding

London Borough of Bexley and the CCG are looking for ideas to invest approximately £800,000 in community-based activity that is aimed at keeping in Bexley carers well and at preventing people in Bexley from becoming more frail. These are two areas of care that impact heavily on the Adult Social Care budget, and we believe that there are more ways, in addition to what we are already doing as a borough, that we can work together to reach people earlier, before they reach crisis, to keep them strong and resilient in the community.

Annual Mayor of London Volunteering Awards

The annual Mayor of London’s Volunteering Awards celebrate the individuals, teams and corporate volunteers who are making outstanding contributions to their communities and helping to make London the best city it can be.

Each day, tens of thousands of volunteers help charities and not for profit groups to deliver their services. The Mayor of London's Volunteering Awards are one of the ways the Mayor acknowledges and thanks all volunteers across the City.

Awards are presented across a range of categories and are awarded to both individuals and groups of volunteers.

2019 State of the Sector research-a review of the sector to gain insight, understand trends and demonstrate community impact.

The last State of the Sector report was in 2014 and it is likely that the size, scope and finances of the VCSE sector in Bexley have changed considerably since then!

Priority areas of research for the 2019 report include income generation, governance, recruitment and retention, mapping change since 2014, capacity and sustainability and social value and impact. The findings will be as eagerly awaited by our statutory colleagues as it is by the voluntary sector as it will be an important tool to help design local policy and strategic direction.
