Role Description

Little Fish Theatre company are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated 'Under-26 Outreach Coordinator'. They will lead our school-based early intervention programmes, aimed at improving the mental health of young people. 

 This 3-year programme, starting in early 2025. It will focus on underserved young people in schools and pupil referral units (PRUs), using a creative, arts-based approach to address mental health challenges.

 The project will be delivered in three phases:

 

  • Phase 1 (Year 1): Assist in the coordination, co-creation, and co-delivery of creative workshops. Sessions will explore lived experiences of masculinity and mental health, alongside professionals from education and social justice sectors. Some participants will work towards achieving a Bronze Arts Award. 

 

  • Phase 2 (Years 2 & 3): Assist in the coordination and support of a verbatim theatre production based on the narratives gathered during workshops. The production will tour schools and community venues, accompanied by policy discussions with young people, educators, and stakeholders. 

 

  • Phase 3 (Year 3): Assist in the coordination, co-creation, and co-delivery of training materials, including case studies and videos, for workshops aimed at social workers, educators, and youth workers. The project will culminate in a national conference event. 

 Full training and induction will be given including mentorship from the two Artistic Directors.
