Excel bitesize 3. Analysing your data. (Superhighways and BVSC Summer School).

Registration is closed for this event
How can you identify gaps in your services? Highlight what’s working and what isn’t? And demonstrate your impact? Excel is the perfect tool for effectively and efficiently keeping track of information, analysing data, crunching numbers and presenting the results in an easy to understand way. Join us in this session where we will learn how to analyse and present findings so that it makes sense both to you and the people that need to understand the story of your work. This forms the third session of our Summer school, check out the other 4 sessions.

Description

What we’ll be covering

  • Working with Pivot tables
  • Formulas & Functions (such as CountIF and Vlookup)
  • Creating a summary page

Course format: Online technical group training

This is an online interactive live training session. You'll take part in interactive exercises such as breakout room discussions, polls or chat conversations.

You will be asked to complete individual technical tasks on your PC or laptop. You will not be able to join this training using a mobile device.

It's likely that you will need to either create online accounts or download appropriate software, which we'll tell you about in advance.

Is this course for me?

This is a follow-on course from our MS Excel bitesize 2: Creating a workable data set and is part of our Excel Bitesize programme, we would encourage you to work through the courses in order as the skills learnt in each session build on top of each other

This session is designed for people using Microsoft Excel 2016 or 2019 on a Windows PC / laptop. If you have an earlier version of Excel or work on a Mac you'll find that some of the features we look at either don't exist or are accessed differently which can be a bit confusing.

Am I eligible for this course?

BVSC’s Impact in Action project has teamed up with Superhighways to offer this course using funding from the City of London Corporation’s charity, City Bridge Trust directed towards work in the Bexley borough. As such we can only accept participants who work for community and voluntary organisations working in the London Borough of Bexley.
