BBLN (Bromley and Bexley Local CYP network) Engagement and Participation Event - Tuesday 1 December, 9.30 - 12.30 via Zoom

What is it about? As part of the Young Londoners Funding Bromley Links; Bromley CYP Forum and Bexley CVS (BVSC) have come together to organise a series of BBLN (Bromley and Bexley Local Network) events. The purpose is to share learning in order to upskill the voluntary sector in the two boroughs to enable them to be more resilient and effective when working with children and young people. The first BBLN will be about Engagement and Participation of CYP in the design and delivery of services. Who is it for? Voluntary and Community Sector organisations from Bromley and Bexley and LA/CCG colleagues who work directly with CYP. Why come? Share good practice with colleagues from 2 boroughs across the voluntary and public sector; learn new skills; increase your income through better funding bids; higher quality activities

Please note that this event was postponed from 1 April, due to lockdown and has been re-arranged to take place via Zoom.

Programme: 

9.30 – 9.45      Arrival and informal networking
9.45 – 10         Icebreaker    
10 – 12.30       Main event:
10 – 10.10       Introductions 
10.10 – 10.25  Lived experience video of young people who have been involved with designing and delivering services
10.25 – 11.05  Small group topical discussions (first 2 rounds)

                       Topic 1 – Engagement of young people 
                       Topic 2 – Ensuring young people’s voices are heard and included
                       Topic 3 – Safety and opportunity (includes youth volunteering; representation on boards etc.)

11.05 – 11.15  Break
11.15 – 11.35  Topic discussions cont’d (last round)
11.35 – 11.55  Feedback from sessions 
11.55 - 12.15   Demonstrating evidence a. Training session or b. facilitated discussion
12.15 – 12.30  End of session evaluation; AOB and next steps
