Bexley Voice for Special Needs Children

Bexley Voice is a voluntary led group of parents and carers of children and young people (aged 0-25) with special/additional needs and disabilities (SEND) living in Bexley. We provide information and signpost to empower families to obtain the best possible services for their family.

We keep parents up to date with local and national issues/intiatives via our:
Comprehensive website
School Visit Programme - going in to schools, pre schools etc. to talk with parents about local services and national issues.
Regular Tea and Talk sessions (including evening dates) where parents can drop in to speak with us about specific issues, enjoy a cuppa and listen to a relevant professional speak about their service.
Regular E bulletins for members which highlight services, legislation changes and sharing local & national consultations
Active Facebook group – open only to parent carers in Bexley – where parents support each other on a wide range of topics

We proactively consult with our members on a range of topics to enable us to provide a voice for parent/carers at all levels.

We Attend a wide range of meetings to provide a voice for our members; to network and build partnerships with other local groups and neighbouring Parent Forums, with service providers and the Local Authority and CCG to influence the maintenance and development of services for our members.

We offer workshops and briefings to parent carers as funding allows.

Belvedere Community Forum

Belvedere Community Forum is a non-political charity whose aim is to give the local residents and businesses within the DA17 area a voice in issues which affect the area they live and work. We organise community events throughout the year for the local area.
